Dreams Lanzarote Playa Dorada Resort & Spa

Everything very good except the quality of the restaurants, which is quite poor. Preferred club service is not worthy (actually the zones without this VIP service are more calm and exclusive).

So we arrived from start to finish one of the best holiday I have ever been on.***** 5 stars food was amazingly good all the different restaurants, amazing room was fantastic and clean thank god. Pools brilliant slides so much fun beach literally outside 10 mins walk both ways something going on.night time entertainment was good the weather was soooooo good pefect holiday we will be back thank you so much xx

We were excited about our first holiday in two years at Dreams Lanzarote Playa Dorada, but unfortunately, it fell short of the 5-star experience we were expecting. Hotel & Room: While the lobby and social areas were lovely, much of the hotel felt dated. The corridors and lifts looked old and in need of an upgrade. We also found it strange that there was no separate entertainment area, and the same acts were repeated weekly, which became tiresome during our two-week stay. Our initial room was fine until the air conditioning started leaking. We reported it early in the morning, but despite the 24-hour maintenance service, we had to wait until the following morning for a repair. The leak persisted, leading to a stressful room change. While we appreciated the new sea-view room, the situation was far from what we expected from a 5-star resort. Preferred Club: We were given access to the Preferred Club as compensation for the room issues, but honestly, it felt underwhelming. If we had paid for it, we would have been extremely disappointed. The club offered branded drinks and a few perks, but it shouldn’t make regular guests feel like they’re missing out in a supposed 5-star hotel. Hotel App: The hotel relies heavily on the Hyatt app, which made basic services like requesting room cleaning and restocking amenities unnecessarily complicated. It felt like added stress, and for a luxury stay, this was frustrating. Food: The food was another major letdown. Though the selection was large, the quality was poor. We encountered undercooked chicken, and at one point found a hair in our meal. Birds flew into the dining areas and landed on the food, which was very off-putting. One day, a guest had an accident in the restaurant, and staff were slow to clean it up, even laughing at the situation. Bars & Pool Area: Drink service was inconsistent, and the pool bar often had long queues. The cleanliness of the pool area was concerning—on our first day, we found excrement on the toilet floor, and the poolside toilets smelled of urine. These areas clearly weren’t maintained to the standard you’d expect from a high-end resort. Cleanliness: In general, cleanliness across the hotel was lacking. The hotel seemed to struggle with keeping areas like staircases and toilets clean, and we frequently noticed dust and grime in common areas that went untouched for days. Staff: Some staff were friendly, but others were rude and seemed overworked. The overall atmosphere was uncomfortable at times, and service was not what you'd expect from a 5-star resort. This holiday left us feeling more stressed than relaxed. We were deeply disappointed, and while Lanzarote itself is beautiful, we would not return to Dreams Lanzarote Playa Dorada based on this experience.

Another excellent stay! The hotel is amazing, this was our 3rd stay. We booked Preferred Club with all-inclusive. Could not fault a thing breakfast at the Preferred Club had a superb selection of produce and freshly cooked dishes to choose from. Lunch at Barefoot Grill was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed dinner at Himitsu. Sealegs bar and pool was our favourite. Lovely cocktails. Entertainment 4Beats was enjoyable in the evening. The staff go above and beyond for the guests if you do have any issues just have a word they will do their best for you. Special mention to Alicia, Yaiza and Ines at reception and the bar team at Sealegs. Cant wait to return.

Today is our lastnight at Dreams and it has been an absolute dream holiday! From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the warm and friendly reception staff and concierge and were given a cold towel and a choice of drink - cava, juice or water a lovely welcome touch! We were taken straight to our room which was spotlessly clean and spacious with minibar which is restocked daily, coffee machine again restocked with pods daily and toiletries in the bathroom! Unlike most hotels we had a king size bed and not 2 twins picked together even our little one had a proper single bad! Room was well air conditioned and was serviced daily! Food was fantastic - love the fact you can go to an a’la carte restaurant every night if you wish and you don’t have to book! Our favourite was the Japanese - the chocolate texture dessert was the best pudding we’ve ever had! All the staff were so friendly and attentive in all areas of the hotel we couldn’t have asked for better service? Hotel is in a great location next to the beach and a five-ten minute walk to Marina Rubicon! Would love to return to this hotel again thank you dreams for a great holiday!

I just came back from one week holiday in Dreams Lanzarote Playa Dorada and I can’t find a fault in this hotel. I am surprised by the opinions that the hotel needs updating or it’s not up to the standards in any way . I was travelling with my 8 years daughter, so I was looking for a hotel which is suitable for kids but in the same time it doesn’t have that typical family/all inclusive vibe, so I can rest and enjoy my holidays too. This hotel is perfect for that . My daughter particularly enjoyed the swimming pool with water slides but there is another complex of swimming pools,available on the other side of the hotel , for people who prefer to relax rather then being active. It’s worth mentioning that parents will find in this hotel a swimming pool which is suitable for a child in any age and that is usually difficult to find. Also the hotel provides adults and children with numerous activities during the day and the evening. The food was good but I wish that the selection of salads would be better. I was on a half board basis so I had to pay for all my drinks, except of breakfast. That costed me additional £100 instead of £800 for all inclusive option ( for two people). That was a great decision because the hotel is surrounded by the beach bars and restaurants with plenty of options to enjoy with.The sandy beach is in the 3-5 min walking distance from the back gate of the hotel. All together my whole experience of staying in this hotel was smooth and nice .

We returned today after spending 10 nights at Dreams Lanzarote and cannot fault it. Staff everywhere were super friendly and helpful, food was good with a lot of choice. location was lovely being right by the beach and marina. Entertainment and kids club staff made a real effort to put on different activities each day. It was really clean and nice there as well. We had no problem getting loungers everyday. Overall had a really great holiday and would highly recommend the hotel.
